Operate elevated work platforms up to 11 metres

ICG Training and Consultancy Services Pty Ltd’s Elevating Work Platforms Course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively operate a range of elevated work platforms up to 11 metres.

The EWP Course covers the skills and knowledge necessary to operate EWPs across various settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements and safety standards. The training covers critical aspects such as risk assessment, safe operation techniques, emergency procedures, and routine maintenance.

From the guidance of our highly skilled and experienced trainers, you will learn:

  • Safely operate boom-type elevated work platforms (EWPs).

  • Correctly position and stabilise EWPs on various terrains.

  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance for both types of equipment.

  • Understand and comply with relevant legislation, standards, and safety procedures.

  • Identify hazards, implement risk controls, and respond to emergencies effectively.

Nationally Recognised Training

The course is comprised of 1 unit of competency. All unit requirements must be satisfactorily completed to be deemed Competent.

This course is delivered as classroom-based activities and practical training and assessment.

This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting with theoretical knowledge and practical training and assessment activities in a simulated work environment.

Full cost of this course is $395 (GST exempt).

ICG Training and Consultancy Services requires all prospective students to complete an application for enrolment, by downloading completing the Application for Enrolment Form.

Completed Application for Enrolment Forms can be submitted:

  • via email to shaun.inglis@icgroup.com.au, or 

  • in person at ICG Training and Consultancy Services head office, 44 Cockers Creek Rd, Spreyton TAS 7310. 

 

Students may be required to undertake a pre-enrolment interview and an LLN assessment to determine their suitability for their chosen program and to determine their level of language, literacy and numeracy skills in relation to their chosen program.

 

Submission of an application for enrolment does not guarantee that a student will be offered a place in their chosen program. ICG Training and Consultancy Services endeavours to ensure suitable candidates are accepted into a learning program where they are most likely to achieve success.

 

Additional information and documentation may be required to process applications, including:

  • Proof of identification (drivers’ licence, passport, photo ID card)

  • Verified copies of previously attained competencies for award of Recognition and/or Credit

  • Unique Student identifier (USI)

 

A USI is your individual education number for life. It also gives you an online record of your VET training undertaken in Australia from 1st January 2015.
